Janjira Fort

Janjira Fort or the Janjira Jal-durg is one of the most impressive structures located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. You can site this fort in a small town named Murud. The best thing about this fort is that it is surrounded by water on all sides and that is why is also referred to as Island Fort. It is one of the premier attractions of the town. Janjira Fort is one of its kinds in the whole India.

Khokari Tombs

The Khokari tombs are three 500-year-old massive stone tombs of early Janjira rulers in western India, near Murud in Maharashtra state. There are three tombs. One Tomb is the Largest of all and there are two smaller tombs. The largest is the tomb of Sidi Surul Khan.

Diveagar beach

Elephanta Caves

Elephanta Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a collection of cave temples predominantly dedicated to Hindu god Shiva. They are located on Elephanta Island, or Gharapuri in Mumbai Harbour.

Suvarna Ganesha Temple

The Ganesh idol in this temple is made of gold, hence the name "Suvarna Ganesh". Suvarna Ganesh (Golden Ganesha) is in Diveagar village.

Sundernarayan Temple

Also known as Rupnarayan temple is believed to be built in 13th Century. It is temple of Lord Vishnu and is the best example of Sculpture. It is built of 'Jambha' Stone.

Shiv Temple

The Shiv temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a piece of art to look at. As like Sundarnarayan Temple, this is built of 'Jambha' Stone.

Harihareshwar

Well known as "Southern Kashi", Harihareshwar is 35 kms from Diveagar further to Srivardhan. Bramha, Vishnu and Mahesh exist here in same temple along with Kal Bhairav. The 'Pradakshina' path has divine look and the view from the mountains is breath taking.

Shrivardhan

It is 20 km from Diveagar and the settlement is worth seeing. The rout from Diveagar to Srivardhan is along the sea shore and gives amazing views at un-number of spots. The velas beach is famous for the turtles.
